I would like to share some photos of the fire in the La Crescenta/ Tujunga area recently taken by a friend of mine. One of the downsides of living too close to the hills and mountains. Scary stuff...
Thanks for these photos. I lived in Sunland in 1975 and we had a bad fire. The view from pix #2 looks just like what I saw from my house on Mather Avenue. We were never evacuated but I went to La Crescenta to my boyfriend's house and by the next morning, the fire had jumped over to his neighborhood. There was a fire command post at the supermarket at Foothill & Mt. Gleason. It rained ashes and the sky was gray and orange. Very dramatic and scary. Hope you and your friends are safe.
Los Angeles native living in the ignored northeastern edge of Pomona for the past 10+ years. What brought me here? Cheap Housing. I still live in what I had originally bought as an 'investment' property... and love it!
