A Sad Day For Historic L.A.

Almost reminds me of what could have been of the Fox Pomona. Just as old is East Los Angeles' Golden Gate theatre. There's been a FIGHT going on for some time now.

I am deeply saddened to say that the Board of Supervisors has sold out to CVS and will allow this great historic landmark to go to sh*t and become a CVS. I am pissed off, but this is what we get when we lose citizens who care about their community anymore. I am sickened and saddened that this has happened. You can read more about it over at Curbed L.A.. I am raging inside right now, but I've also had a few brews in me so I will be nice. This is the stuff I speak of when I say those few cities with hope need to be strong and enforce laws for our citizens. Much less, to have those in power (City Councils for example sell themselves to the highest bidders, it makes me SICK).

For those Pomona peeps who feel sad for what's going on in our city right now, thank goodness for people like the DPOA, the Tessiers & co., Councilman Tim Saunders, and Proud Pomona residents to name a few, without them, this is what we would be facing EVERYWHERE in Pomona if it wasn't for you!

(I've tried to correct typos while drinking, hope I did okay, it took a while)

Copy Machines. Yeah, The One At Work

Many of us have used a copier at work to make copies of personal stuff once in a while, come on, admit it. Perhaps a contract or some escrow papers, copies of our drivers license, maybe a copy of our birth certificate, or who knows what else we've copied when no ones around? Of course, we've asked for permission (wink, wink). Regardless, you need to see this. It will scare the pants off ya.

Still Alive

Yes, I'm still here. It's been a very busy month. Meetings, Birthdays, Events, etc. just hectic! So much going on everywhere it's ridiculous. I'll be back soon with useless blabber as usual.

As I watch some of these foreclosed homes around here being bought, I can't help but notice it's still the same crap of people buying who lost them initially. Oh boy, what to do? The only way to save a city is by CODE ENFORCEMENT. That means if you see families stacking themselves into a rented home, call on them. If you know they've converted their garage, call on them. Seriously, a 1000 square foot home, yet there are 8 cars. Hmmm... anyways, just ranting as I get home tonight.

Thursday Outdoor Movie Nights @ Rose Bowl!

Yes, this Thursday May 6th will be the first outdoor movie night at the Rose Bowl for families and all! Just bring out some folding chairs and blankets to make yourself comfortable for a nice relaxing movie outdoors.

Tickets are $5, and kids 7 & under are free. The movie featured for this day will by 'The Blindside'. There will be concession stands and no outside food will be allowed. The parking will be FREE, I recommend parking right outside of entrance A, which is Lot F (I think). This event will take place every Thursday for the whole summer!

Hope to see everyone there, here's an image for the event:
