Montebello Stolen Cruiser Found, 2 Weapons Gone

Montebello police called. They found the car but would like their AR-15 assault rifle and 870 Remington shotgun back. Thank you.

Article from L.A. Times:

"Montebello police spent more than an hour today trying to find one of their cruisers after someone apparently took it for a joy ride and then stole two weapons inside before ditching the vehicle.

Lt. Brad Keller said the cruiser was stolen shortly after 3 a.m. when officers were dispatched to a party in the 600 block of Forbes Avenue. Keller said that he was unsure how the cruiser was stolen but that the incident was "going to be under investigation."

West Covina police found the vehicle at 4:10 a.m. on North Ballista Avenue in La Puente. Keller said two weapons inside the vehicle -- an AR-15 assault rifle and an 870 Remington shotgun -- were stolen."
